OneFit Presents is a branded concept with special workouts, given by the most popular OneFit teachers within our community. These classes take place at hotspots in our OneFit cities to create a new experience for you as a OneFitter. Taylor, one of our first OneFit Presents teachers, will tell you more about her journey in this blog.

Taylor is originally from Phoenix, Arizona but she went to university in New Orleans, Louisiana, and lived in Spain, Hungary, and Slovakia before moving to the Netherlands almost three years ago. Her 11-year old labrador Deuce follows her everywhere; just like her Portuguese fiancé Carlos. They’re planning their wedding in August 2021!

Her tight-fitting wedding dress is the inspiration for a lot of her barre booty classes. She’s into red wine and does barre. Sometimes she even drinks red wine DURING her barre classes, like in her special Wine-Barre Wednesday classes. Fun fact: her online and outdoor classes were also super popular in the first lockdown!

How did your Barre career start?

“Since I was 18, I’ve been a fitness instructor of many different formats. I used to teach a lot of HIIT, cycling, trampoline, and other high-impact classes.

Almost seven years ago I got into a serious car accident and as a result, was not able to run or jump for more than six months. It was during this time that I found barre and fell in love with the concept of a high-intensity, highly efficient workout which gets results without heavy-impact. “

So tell us, what do you like most about your job?

“The best thing about my job is the opportunity to make people feel absolutely freaking awesome about themselves during and after the workout. Self-confidence isn’t on sale at the supermarket, but it’s something that can enhance your life in so many ways.

I hope that people who come to my classes leave feeling proud of themselves for pushing through the burn and empowered to kick ass in other areas of their lives as well.”

Have you tried one of Taylor’s classes in Amsterdam before? Her energy is amazing and you’ll feel empowered, strong, and super happy after doing Barre workouts with her!

So…. why did you start Taylor Made Barre?

“I started Taylor Made Barre to share my style of fitness-based Barre classes with a wider audience! I love the studios which I collaborate with, but my vision for my brand goes beyond weekly classes. I also offer a 60-hour internationally-accredited barre teacher training and two destination fitness retreats per year under my own name.

With Taylor Made Barre, I’m able to also offer fun events and special pop-up classes which allow me to be creative and design my ideal class experience to share with participants! My vision for Taylor Made Barre in the future goes beyond classes, training, and retreats to also encompass a community of barre babes who support each other inside and outside of the studio.”

So, why OneFit Presents? “I am one of the instructors who launched the very first OneFit Presents classes because I love the idea behind this concept! OneFit Presents gives passionate trainers an excellent platform from which to promote their class experiences and to connect with a wider audience of fitness enthusiasts. Also, OneFit Presents gives members the chance to meet with trainers in non-traditional class settings, such as hotel conference rooms, rooftops, and event spaces.

I think this also reduces the mental barrier which typically comes from going to the gym; everyone is welcome in my classes and where better to welcome my students than in a hotel auditorium?! I love the concept of OneFit Presents and I am looking forward to meeting participants at cool locations, such as the ADE barre booty special we did last weekend in the auditorium of Het Sieraad!”

We’re already a fan of course. But, why should our members try YOUR workouts? 😏

“I try to achieve a good balance between having fun and getting stronger in every class I teach! Members should join my classes if they’re looking for great toning results delivered with a smile and some great music.

I have self-diagnosed “exercise-ADD”, so I am always changing things up in my classes with new sequences, new choreo, new exercises, and new props to keep it fresh! Also, any OneFit members who love Latino music with summer vibes will not be disappointed, as it’s often featured in my barre playlists 😉 “

And last but not least: what are your tips to stay healthy during this period?

Of course a question everyone wants an answer to. According to Taylor, “Consistency is key! We’ve heard this before, but especially during highly uncertain times, getting a workout routine and sticking to it is the best way to guarantee results.

Most people find it easiest to work out at consistent times weekly; and when you put these times into your agenda, don’t cancel them to meet a friend for coffee. Prioritize your health and take your commitments to your workouts as seriously as you would a job interview for your dream job. “
